Welcome

Welcome

Labor of Love:  We are converting this small log cabin into a comfortable writing studio.

At 8,750 feet, my writing home overlooks the Panhandle Creek in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Aspens, with their silvery white trunks and bright autumn display, weave their interconnected roots through the forest, changing colors and dropping their leaves in tandem. We share our mountain home with moose, elk, bears, coyotes, and mountain lions, doing our best to be good neighbors to the native flora and fauna. I grew up in Alaska and my husband is from British Columbia. Stories around the campfire have always been an important part of our lives together.

There’s a peaceful quality of light and shadows in this elevated part of the world that inspires creativity. I look forward to sharing it with you here and, eventually, through writing retreats, as my husband and I work to build a Rocky Mountain Bed and Breakfast and literary home. Keep up on the latest developments by subscribing to “Writing in the Rockies.”
